Troupes of Folk Dance / Folkloric Band
from Foreign Countries

Dance troupes, professional folkloric bands, and folk artists from foreign countries and universities are eligible to participate.
The artist/group should be equipped to explain to the audience about the art form and the performance.
No contemporary or modern performances are allowed in the festival.
Number of group members in each performance must not exceed the given limit in each category.
The artists/ groups performing in live concerts must use traditional instruments.
A participant shall not be allowed to represent more than one College/ Institution as participant/accompanist.
Disciplinary action will be taken against the Team/Institution/Team member who uses objectionable words against the University Officials/ Coordinator of Cultural Affairs.
No participant/Official of any institute shall go to the Court/Press for any controversial issue.
Participants shall submit a physical report.
Participants names shall not be registered in any criminal records.
If the Indian Government bans any participants from a specific country, those participants must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Indian Government.
It is the responsibility of the participants and their organization to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited on the university campus.

Folk Dance of the respective country to be represented by the participants.
The number of accompanists permissible is five.
The duration of dance should not be more than 10 minutes.
Two copies of a brief note giving the theme and the text of the song, if any, is to be submitted along with the entry form at the time of registration.nce should not be more than 10 minutes.
The participating team will be responsible for removal of their sets / properties etc. immediately after the completion of their performance.
Time for sets/ Instruments setting is maximum 5 minutes.
Participating teams are also advised to bring their Local / Regional Costumes for the purpose of reflecting their culture in cultural Procession/ March past.
Live & Recorded Music is allowed. Accompanists will either speak from the background or will play upon musical Instruments for background music.

The team may present preferably those folk tunes which are recognized as folk tunes of the country to which the participants belong to.
The duration of the performance will be a maximum for 10 minutes.
This does not include setting time which shall not be more than 5 minutes.
Up to five professional accompanists are allowed who should be in different dress from the participants so that they could be easily identified.
The professional accompanists shall sit / stand separately from the participants and shall not lead the team.
Only Live Music is allowed.
The participant can perform any genre/style or fuse various genres/styles of country music.
Band name and lyrics of performance songs should not contain any obscenities if possible.
The entire performance must be violence-free and suitable for families.
The artists should wear the traditional outfits of their respective countries.

Only one female & one male Team Manager is allowed with each team.
A participant shall not be allowed to represent more than one college/Institution as participant/accompanist.

The team shall consist of up to a maximum of 12 participants (not exceeding 9 participants and 3 Accompanists).
The group may consist of all boys, all girls or combined.
Duration of performance shall be between 8–10 minutes.
This does not include setting time which shall not be more than 5 minutes.
Up to three professional accompanists are allowed who should be in different dress from the student Participants so that they could be easily.
The team may present preferably those folk tunes which are recognized as folk tunes of the state to which the University belongs.
Accompaniment should be live and not recorded.

Maximum 10 participants allowed per team. The team may consist of all boys, all girls or a mixture of both.
The number of accompanists permissible is five.
The dance can be either primitive or a folk dance (Indian Style) but not a classical one.
Duration of performance is minimum 8 and maximum 10 minutes.
Time for sets/Instruments setting is maximum 5 minutes.
Three copies of a brief note giving the theme and the text of song if any, is to be submitted along with the entry Form at the time of registration.
The participating team will be responsible for removal of their sets/ properties etc. immediately after the Completion of their performance.
Recorded music or audio/CD is not permitted during the folk dance.
Accompaniment should be live and not recorded.
